In the latest stock of ponies to hit stores it looks like there has been some corrections to the hoof hearts of ponies in certain poses. This would include any pose where the heart is not on the foot with the magnet. Now ponies like Moondancer,  Razzaroo, Minty,  Sweetberry and Wysteria, have their hearts on the opposite foot, the one with the magnet. This makes more sense, so we assume it’s a permanent change. Minty is the only pony that seems to have undergone a noticeable change, having blended pink and white hair instead of striped and lighter-colored symbols. She also has an alternate charm. The new Sparkleworks has a larger star in her eye and an alternate charm. Her brush is also a brighter orange color.

The new plush ponies and beanies will likely be available only in Australia, as it was discovered that they were made specifically for Aussie Targets. This also includes the hobby horse and a large rocking horse (thanks Satin Slipper for the update). Darn, I bet it would be insane to try and ship a rocking horse over to my house... Also, Calicoangel found a 2003 MLP umbrella at KB Toys.

In other news, some people have been wondering how long those promotional 2-packs were going to last. I was just noticing the other day that our local Wal-Mart got in a brand new shipment of 2-packs, so maybe they’ll be around a while? Also, Sheryl found a Rainbow Dash hobby horse (ya know, one of those horse-heads on a stick) for sale in Australia.

TV Commercials began today for the new ponies. At 9:15 on Cartoon Network, this commercial aired: Pinkie Pie sniffing a flower/butterfly. The original theme song begins to play and the ponies begin racing to the cafe. Either Cotton Candy or Sweetberry waves from inside. The computer-animated ponies seem chubby, cute, maybe a little short in the leg. The live shots re kids playing with the toys. The end promotes the "buy-one-get-one-free" ponies; promos will probably continue then.

Silverfall found the free pony video A Charming Birthday at Target and has added some screen shots here. Also keep an eye out for those new pony commercials that are supposed to start this week.

The new video promotion (buy a pony, get a free video), was found at Target in Kansas (thanks ALiGirl for update). The video, entitled, a Charming Birthday is just under 20 minutes long and celebrates Kimono’s birthday. Mlp4ever has put screen shots of the video on her site. Take a look! Screenshots of the new MLP commercial brought to you by lil SkySkimmer (commercials not out in the US yet). Moonestones Dream also spotted a Sunny Daze rocking horse at a Target in Melbourne, Australia. Quetzalcoatl also reports that Walmart will be stocking MLP Xmas ornaments ("pony-shaped" ones, too). It's a good year to be a pony!

Rumor has it that the Points Program, which is currently valid only in the US, will be extended to all of North America. The site may be updated with this information in the next few days. Thanks Buzzdog for the update. TwilightStarshine watched Minty play hopscotch with some new pony characters on the MLP video. One pony was white with red and white hair and had a candy cane and holly berry symbol. Perhaps we will have a pony for Christmas? The other was blue with blue/white hair.

At last, Hasbro unveils its Points Program. Collect the points off new MLP packaging and send away for a new pony named Dazzle Surprise, a play-mat, a video, or a friendship bracelet. If you have trouble with the form, try this one, but you might need Acrobat Reader, as that's the program that reads the .pdf files. Download the program.

They also told her she could send in her receipts and UPCs just to be on the safe side since Hasbro has the right to verify purchases, though it is not specifically required. The program is offered only in the US at this time.

The promo ponies might be winding down, so if you haven't picked yours up, you might want to now. We’re not sure how long they will be in stores. Minty and Sparkleworks have now been released as singles. Interesting to note, there are some minor changes in these ponies. Each has a charm in an alternate pose and Minty has pink hair without the white stripes. This seems to coincide with some international releases where Minty has pink hair with white stripes, pink hair, or pink and white hair evenly mixed so that it looks like only one shade. Her symbol is also a different color. Sparkleworks may have different shades of symbol paint colors. Thanks Princess Silverswirl for the update.

Dava had sent us new MLP scans out of Lee’s Toy Review, including the cafe with different accessories/stickers, glitter ponies on green-base display, and the mystery pony that everyone has been wondering about for some time. The cafe image has been used prominently in Euro/Canadian ads, while it and the green-base image with the glitter ponies also made an appearance in the recent US ToysRUs ad. The strange pony, whose name is unknown, is displayed here in a prototype box that labels her as Kimono. She has also made an appearance on several Euro sites, causing quite a stir amongst collectors who continue to speculate who she really is and if she will be making an appearance in the line later this year. Her symbol is apparently the Celtic Triskal symbol. I suppose it is fair to add that several collectors believe this is just a graphically-manipulated image. Make of it what you will.

The Pony Points program is still delayed due to technical difficulties. Hasbro is trying to update their site. We have no other information to share on the program. Keep checking www.mylittlepony.com for the update, which will occur ASAP.

Hasbro reports that there are still plans to bring out the new move in the fall/holiday season of 2003 (thanks Sparkle-pony for the update). And according to Hasbro CS, the Salon is now shipping out to US retailers (again, thanks Sparkle-pony).

Please stay patient while Hasbro updates us on the Points Program, which was supposed to start on August 1st. They are attempting to get the information up on the site, but ran into some technical difficulties. What will the program offer in exchange for points? We just don’t know yet, but we assume it will be mlp-related products (not necessarily more ponies).
