Fluttershy is a 2nd edition Rainbow pony that joined the line as a "New Friend" in late 2003.  She was sold as a single and was part of the general assortment available at most stores.

In 2004, she would be reissued in the same pose, but without her charm, and would sometimes come with a bonus sheet of 30 stickers. She would also combine with Toola-Roola and Baby Pink Sunsparkle in a 3-pack exclusive to Target in the US. She would then be made available in the 2004 collector's edition Race to Ponyville game (at Kohls), where she was one of four ponies packaged in the collectible game tin.

In 2005, she would be available in her second pose in a Wing Wishes dress-up set. In 2006, she would be available in her third pose in a Sunny Adventures Pony and Me purse set.
