The Friendship Garden ponies first appeared
on the market in the winter of 1997. The 97-style of pony was smaller
than the traditional 80s pony and of a more slender body-type. It remained
on the US market only for a few years until 1999, but continued with its
European production until early 2003. This style of pony was then replaced by the new
ponies of the 2003 Celebration line. This line is now referred to as G2 or
the second generation. |
